From Raggs to Stitches

Kanata Quilt Guild members enjoyed Irene Lafleche’s trunk show, “From Raggs to Stitches,” on September 8, at their first meeting of the year. Irene showed her work in many varied styles, traditional and modern, pieced and appliquéd, serious and whimsical, and encouraged us all to work outside our comfort zone and explore new techniques. She also provided a handout to members, listing books, patterns and websites she has used.
The new Guild executive and volunteer team was introduced, upcoming activities were announced, Show and Tell offerings admired, and raffle draws produced some happy winners. With 134 in attendance, it was a morning full of energy and enthusiasm for our shared love of quilting!
