The Kanata and Richmond Quilt Guilds once again participated in the Glen Cairn United Church Fall Festival on Saturday, October 15, with a quilt show.
Beth and Judy want to send out a huge thank you to the Kanata Quilt Guild members, who so graciously loaned their quilts and also to the volunteers who helped put the show together. It was a huge success with many visitors viewing the fifty quilts on display — everything from small table-runners to wall quilts to large bed quilts.
In attendance at this event also was Ms. Kathleen Wynn, premier of Ontario; Ottawa mayor, Jim Watson, and Kanata South city councillor Allan Hubley.
Again, a huge thank you to all the members who gave up their time on Saturday for a very worthy event. (Pictures will display as a slide show at the bottom of this page, for about a month.)
