Playdays are our solution to informal learning sessions brought to our members at little or no cost.   Spend a few hours learning a new technique, these generally run from 1:00 – 3:00 pm.

Registration:  Please register for the playdays by sending an email to  in order to receive the zoom link and supply list ahead of the date.

Workshop registration will open approximately two months prior to the workshop date and only accepted at guild meetings.

For all Workshops

Please ensure your sewing machine is in good working order. Bring an EXTENSION CORD and POWER BAR, as well as the power cord for the machine; extra needles for those “oops” moments; any special sewing machine feet needed for the class, as directed by instructor; supplies from the provided SUPPLY LIST.

Unless otherwise stated, please bring a sewing kit, complete with scissors (for paper and fabric), rotary cutter and mat, ruler(s) thread, name tag, coffee mug and lunch or snack if applicable.

Be sure to complete any preparation work required by the instructor ahead of time.

All Workshops are held at the Kanata Legion (map below) and run from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, unless otherwise stated.
