November Workshop

Join us on November 29th for a fun day creating your own fabric tote bag. These bags are a great way to use up fabric in your stash. Batiks, coordinates, one colour themes…the choices are endless. Some prep work will be done before the class starts.

Workshop will be held at Glen Cairn United Church, Wednesday, November 29, from 9:30 – 2:30.

Instructor: Linda Meyer

Supply list:

8 or more stash-busting coordinating or contrasting cotton fabrics (the more variety the more intersting the bag); cut into 3″ strips of varying lengths to total 500″ – 600″ when stitched end-to-end.

2 meters of fusible fleece cut into 2 3/4″ strips along the length.

2 fat quarters of fabric plus one 18″ square of batting to make the bag base. The base will be cut in class to make an oval, round, or rectangular shape with rounded corners.
